For the contents of education developed to strengthen the emergency response capacity of nursing care caregivers, the emergency items frequently experienced during work were first investigated for nursing care caregivers working at nursing care facilities and home service sites for the elderly.
In addition, 20 emergency situations were derived by investigating the necessary educational items to effectively cope with emergency situations.
In order to effectively cope with emergency situations, for each of the 20 items, the concept, characteristics, problem symptoms, and coping methods of the disease, as well as the recognition method in case of an actual emergency situation, the reporting system, and the emergency response procedure of the nursing care provider were systematically presented.
In addition, emergency response procedures are categorized and presented for each type of elderly care facility and home service, so that they can be used when performing work on the job site.The 20 emergency items developed as educational content include dyspnea, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dysphagia, falls, delirium, drug overdose, hypotension, hypoglycemia, dying, burns, bleeding, airway obstruction, stroke, nasogastric tube loss, convulsions, and loss of consciousness.
, High fever, stroke, mental behavioral symptoms (aggressive behavior), and dehydration.
In addition, in order to clarify the concept of an emergency situation and recognize the role of a nursing care provider as the first responder when an emergency occurs to the elderly, emergency situations, first aid, emergency response, role of a nursing guard, and when an emergency occurs.
The coping procedure was presented in detail so that it could be used when performing work in the field.
This educational program is meaningful in that, considering that nursing care caregivers are non-medical workers and occupations with a relatively high average age, educational contents were developed based on cases set similar to actual sites along with terms that are easier than specialized terms during emergency training.

In addition, emergency education is a ubiquitous using smartphone app to improve the difficulty of acquiring various knowledge and the difficulty of acquiring a variety of knowledge compared to the training time and the decrease in performance over time after training.
It is significant that by developing emergency education, nursing care workers can conveniently access the educational media anytime, anywhere without restriction of place and time to enable repetitive learning.
